Your file should stay yours.

This version of File Privacy performs file inspection and cleanup inside your browser. The app does not upload selected file bytes to FrAIFlow servers.

To reinforce that design, the site is served with a Content Security Policy that blocks browser network connections from the application code. The page itself is still downloaded from Cloudflare when you visit it.

Important: This is a practical metadata privacy tool, not a forensic guarantee. Some proprietary or unsupported metadata structures may not be detected in this beta.

FAQ

What this beta does — and does not do.

Does my file get uploaded?

No. Selected JPEG and PNG files are read by JavaScript in your browser. This beta does not send file bytes to a processing API.

What gets removed from JPEG files?

The cleaner removes EXIF and XMP APP1 metadata, Photoshop/IPTC APP13 metadata, and JPEG comment segments. Image data is copied without re-encoding.

What gets removed from PNG files?

The cleaner removes EXIF, text metadata and PNG time chunks while keeping image and color-management chunks intact.

Does cleaning reduce image quality?

For supported JPEG and PNG files, the cleaner removes metadata containers without recompressing the image pixels.

What formats are next?

WebP and PDF are planned after the JPEG/PNG scan → clean → verify workflow passes real-device testing.
