Image metadata is broader than EXIF. A JPEG can carry EXIF, XMP, Photoshop/IPTC information and comments. A PNG can carry an eXIf chunk, plain or international text chunks, compressed text markers and a modification-time chunk. These containers may describe where or when an image was created, which device or software touched it, who authored it, or how it moved through a publishing workflow.
A careful browser-local workflow

Start with the exact file you plan to share, because copies and exports can have different metadata.

Use the summary for a quick privacy review, then expand the technical metadata section to see supported raw values.

Decide whether the findings matter in your sharing context rather than treating every field as equally risky.

When cleaning is appropriate, create a separate copy and review the built-in re-scan before downloading.
What this version supports
The current checker accepts JPEG/JPG and PNG files up to 50 MB. It can parse supported EXIF fields, GPS coordinates, device details, timestamps, author-like values, serial-related values, software names and copyright text where the implemented parser recognizes them. It also flags supported JPEG XMP, IPTC/Photoshop and comment containers plus supported PNG text and time chunks.
Limits to keep in mind
The tool does not promise complete coverage of every vendor extension or metadata specification. It does not inspect PDF, HEIC, WebP, RAW or other formats in this release. It also cannot decide whether visible content itself reveals a person, address, screen, document, reflection or location. Metadata review should be one part of a broader sharing decision.
Inspection and cleanup run in your browser. Selected file bytes are not uploaded to FrAIFlow servers. The result describes only the supported structures this release can observe.
