Understand and check PNG metadata
PNG files can store more than pixels and transparency. File Privacy checks supported eXIf data plus tEXt, iTXt, zTXt and tIME chunks, then can create a copy without those supported metadata chunks.

A PNG tEXt chunk can store a keyword and plain text. iTXt supports international text, zTXt indicates compressed text, and tIME records a modification time. PNG can also carry EXIF-style information in an eXIf chunk, including supported GPS, author, device, timestamp or software fields. Which chunks are present depends on the application that created or exported the image.
A careful browser-local workflow

Choose the PNG you plan to distribute and confirm that it is within the 50 MB limit.

Create a cleaned copy when the reported text, time or EXIF-style metadata is not needed.

Use the re-scan result as evidence about supported chunks, then visually review the image before sharing.
What this version supports
The PNG parser validates the signature, walks chunks and reports supported eXIf, tEXt, iTXt, zTXt and tIME content or presence. The cleaner removes those implemented metadata chunks while retaining image data and color-management chunks. It does not recompress the image pixels during this container-level operation.
Limits to keep in mind
Not every PNG metadata convention is covered, and compressed or proprietary content may not be decoded into individual values. The absence of a supported finding is not proof that the image is anonymous. Screenshots often contain private information visibly, and no metadata cleaner can remove text, faces, documents or account details that are part of the pixels.
